Who writes this content and who does not
Pages are written by medical writers working from primary sources, then checked against the source list published at the bottom of each page. No surgeon pays to appear inside an article, and no article is written to favor a specific practice. If that ever changes on a given page, the relationship is disclosed on that page before the content, not in a footer link.
We do not currently display a named physician reviewer. Until a reviewer's identity, credentials and license status are verified and published, this site will not use the phrase 'medically reviewed by' anywhere, including in badges, schema or navigation. Claiming review that has not happened is the single fastest way for a health publisher to lose a reader's trust, and it is worse than saying nothing.
What a statement needs before it is published
- A source we can link to: government health agency, specialty society, or peer-reviewed literature indexed in PubMed.
- Language that describes ranges and variability rather than a single promised number.
- An explicit statement of what the page cannot determine about an individual reader.
- No diagnosis, no candidacy verdict and no recommendation of a specific operation.
What we refuse to publish
Cosmetic surgery marketing routinely publishes numbers no one can verify: satisfaction percentages, revision rates for a single surgeon, 'starting at' prices detached from an actual quote, and before-and-after images with no consent or timing information. None of that appears here. A price on this site is always described as a factor that changes a quote, never as a quote you have been offered.
Use of drafting tools
Drafting software may be used to structure or translate a page, but the source verification, the clinical caveats and the final wording are human decisions. Automated text is never published without a source check, and no page is generated purely to occupy a keyword.
What is published, gated or refused
Gated items exist in the design but stay hidden until verified data is supplied. Nothing in the gated column is filled with a placeholder.

Frequently asked questions
Is this website a clinic?
No. It publishes patient education and can pass a consultation request to a participating practice. It does not operate a facility, employ surgeons, diagnose conditions or schedule surgery.
Why is there no doctor's name on the pages?
Because no reviewer has been verified and published yet. Adding a name we cannot verify would be a false trust signal, so the claim stays off the site until it is real.
How do I report an error?
Use the consultation form and choose the general enquiry option, quoting the page URL and the sentence in question. Substantive corrections are made on the page with a dated note.
